dg2016The one-of-a-kind projection art festival known as Digital Graffiti is this weekend, May 13 – 15 in Alys Beach! It’s an event like no other that you don’t want to miss!

Each year artists from all over come to showcase their work on the iconic white walls of Alys Beach. “Alys Beach becomes their blank canvas,” Kelli Siler, Alys Beach Director of Events said. “Digital Graffiti explores how design, technology and architecture can intertwine to create entirely new art forms. For one evening, Alys Beach opens its doors, courtyards and pedestrian paths to innovative companies and ground-breaking artists who fuse these three components to transform our entire town into a living work of art.”

The festival kicks off Friday night with the Curator’s Tour, a small tour of this year’s DG2016 artists featuring culinary creations from local eateries like Bud & Alley’s, Caliza and George’s at Alys Beach.

Saturday, the fun starts at 6pm with cocktails, music and the announcement of the festival winners at Fonville Press. At 8pm 20 artists will project their creations all over Alys Beach buildings, pathways and courtyards. There will be food and drinks available for purchase during the event and an after party for the 21 and up crew featuring music from DJ Harry.

Sunday the festival concludes with a strolling brunch with the artists and judges from this years event complete with mimosas, bloody marys and a biscuit bar.
